Kevin Freeman is in his 7th season as Connecticut’s Director of Basketball Administration after serving for one year as the Assistant Director.
Freeman, a former captain and second in the history of the program in games played (140), came back to Storrs in 2011-12 after playing 11 seasons of professional basketball in Italy, Australia, Greece, South Korea, China, Puerto Rico, Spain and Venezuela.
While in college, he was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 1999 Big East Championship and selected to the 1999 NCAA West Regional All-Tournament Team as an invaluable starter on University’s first National Championship team.
During Freeman’s career, the Huskies compiled an impressive 109-32 record, and made three NCAA appearances, reaching the Elite Eight in 1998 and winning the NCAA crown in 1999. At the start of the 2017-18 season, he still ranked No. 19 on UConn’s all-time scoring list with 1,476 points, and No. 8 on the all-time rebounding list with 913. He earned his degree in 2006.
